What is this scam?

Someone says they sent money by mistake, or that you will get a refund or cashback, and sends you a UPI collect request or QR code. Approving it or entering your PIN sends money OUT of your account. You never need a PIN to receive money.

What the message looks like (example)

Sir I sent Rs 5000 to your number by mistake, please return. I am sending a request, approve it and enter your UPI PIN to receive the refund.
